Alice in Wonderland

Good evening!!
I hope you had a great weekend!
Today was such a warm day out. We had all of our windows open at home and I think everyone was grateful that the sun finally made an appearance!
I hope this weather continues!

On another note...
As the day ends I've decided to revisit my childhood and watch a favourite Disney movie that I haven't seen in a while.
I have always been such a huge fan of Disney movies, but one of my absolute favourites is Alice in Wonderland
As a kid, I loved the story, and I fell in love with the movie instantly. I've collected Alice in Wonderland items over the years and I'm always on the lookout for new collectibles. I stumbled across a few quotes and pictures of my favourite movie that I wanted to share with you!

My Tea Obsession

Hey guys!!
I hope your weekend has been very happy and fulfilling! :)

As I’m reflecting on my tasks for the upcoming week, I am sipping on a perfect cup of tea.
My tea obsession began when I was a lot younger because my mom was always drinking tea. She had tea after almost every meal, in the morning, and a few in between.
Over the years, I acquired a taste for most types of tea and I’ve really learned to appreciate the warm beverage.
I’ve never been a coffee drinker (although sometimes I wish I was), so tea is a perfect option for me!

When my family and I were in England, we became very acquainted with the company Fortnum and Mason. They have the ABSOLUTE best teas and confectioneries out there (in my opinion).
We came back to Canada with about 4 large bags of beautiful tea tins with many various kinds.
They also have the BEST tea biscuits- and some of the biscuits come in music box tins!!
The tins that their products come in are so beautiful.
I have so many on display in my home- they are too pretty to keep hidden!
It’s a very unique and lovely company, and I will always order my tea from them from here on out!

Here is the link to this AMAZING company- check it out!!

For those of you that live in the UK, are you fans of Fortnum and Mason as well?

Let me know! :)

1.    What is your favorite dessert?
My favorite dessert is a chocolate chip cookie. I think that has been my favourite dessert since I was 6. Love it!

2.    What is your favorite color?
My favorite color is purple. Most of the décor at my wedding as well as my bridesmaid’s dresses were in purple tones. I think it’s such an elegant color!

3.    What's one of the scariest things you've ever done?
The scariest thing I have ever done was skiing down the black diamond course in Mont Tremblant, Quebec. My friends told me I was going to an easy hill, and once we got there they admitted they brought me to the hardest hill. I was terrified.

4.    What accomplishment are you most proud of?
To be honest, right now the accomplishment that I am most proud of is starting this blog. I am a very shy person in general, so starting this blog and sharing my life with the world was a huge accomplishment for me.

5.    If you could try out any job for a day, what would you like to try?
I always wanted to be a principal for the day. I have always been interested in teaching, but I would love to know what it’s like to be the principal of a school.

6.    What embarrasses you?
I get so embarrassed when I do/say something stupid in front of people. Sometimes when I get nervous I act pretty awkward, so that’s pretty embarrassing haha.

7.    Do you have a favorite number? Any particular reason why you like that number?
I don’t really have a favourite number, but if I had to pick one it would probably be 8 for September 8th (my wedding day).

8.    What is your favorite joke?
This is a tough one…I don’t really have a favourite joke…but I find the comedian Bill Burr really funny and all of his jokes are hilarious.

9.    If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet?
I would love to have met Marie Antoinette. The history with her is so interesting and I fell in love with Versailles when I was in France.

10. Do you like to plan things out in detail or be spontaneous?
I love to plan things out in detail. I love organization so I have to plan things out for any event.

11. If you could visit any country in the world, where would you go?
If I could visit any country, I would love to visit Australia. I’ve heard it is so beautiful and amazing to see. I wish the flight didn’t take a full day to get there L.

Favourite Friday!

Hey everyone!!
Spring is finally starting to appear!
Today is so windy out, but it’s quite warm- thankfully!!

Today’s post is a bit different than my recent posts and I’m excited to announce that today’s “Favourite Friday” is going to become a weekly blog post.
Every week I will post my favourite things on Friday. The content will be different each week; the posts will include my favourite beauty items, hair products, cooking products, etc.

I’m so excited to share my favourite things with you, and I hope to give you guys some good tips on amazing products that I’ve fallen in love with!

Favourite Friday- Makeup Edition

Bobbi Brown Concealer:
This concealer is amazing. It hides any imperfections and it is so easy to use. With the stress of moving, my skin isn’t looking as flawless as I would like. This is definitely my go-to product right now!

Laura Mercier Oil Free Tinted Moisturizer:

This tinted moisturizer is unbelievable! It lightly covers blemishes and creates a “glowing” effect on your skin. It is also a great oil free moisturizer with SPF 20 in it. This product is so light, it feels like you have nothing on!

MAC Paint Pots:
I absolutely love MAC paint pots! It’s so easy to put on and it lasts throughout the day. The eye colour comes in many different shades (my favourites are groundwork and painterly; they are great neutral colours for everyday use).

Urban Decay Naked Palettes:
Urban Decay’s Naked Palettes (Naked, Naked 2, Naked 3, + Naked Basics) are the best eye shadow palettes out there. The shades that are included in these sets are perfect for day and night use. I am so obsessed with their line- I use these all the time!

Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil:
My hair is so blonde that I have to make sure to use an eyebrow pencil, otherwise my eyebrows look like their non-existent. This is my favourite eyebrow pencil out there. It is easy to use and the colour lasts all day.

Kat Von D Liquid Eyeliner:
This eyeliner is great for creating a dramatic, lasting look. Only use this if you have a steady hand. It is not the easiest to put on (you have to be very exact with it) but once you get used to putting it on, the effect is magic! I’m used to using liquid liner so this wasn’t too difficult for me, but if you have never used liquid liner before, I would suggest to practice using it first.

Benefit Mascara:
This mascara is the perfect, long lasting mascara. The wand is great for setting an even colour on your lashes, and the mascara plumps up your lashes to make them thick and voluminous! They create a false eyelash look. This is by far my favourite mascara!

These are my favourite makeup items, and I use most of these daily. I don’t overdue my makeup (especially since I’m at home most of the time), but I do love to put neutral items on to create a flawless look.

Let me know if you’ve tried these items before, or if you have a favourite item that you would like to share!
