Packing Up

Hey guys!!
Sorry for the delay in posting, things have been so busy with the upcoming move!

I hope the start of the week has been as productive for you as mine has been! I have put aside my procrastination, and I have dedicated the last couple days to working hard on packing.
At first it was tedious, but after a few hours it became the ultimate goal to pack as many boxes as possible.
After going through each drawer and cabinet, I’ve come to the conclusion that we have WAY TOO MANY things. Items that I had purchased years ago have finally been found, and things that I definitely do not need have also appeared.
I must admit… my donation pile is growing bigger by the minute!

Here is a glimpse of the chaos I’ve been immersed in for the last couple of days…

Yes...this is all tea...I think it needs a box on it's own! Haha!

The dreaded hanger pile...after finally packing up all of my clothes, now I'm left with this! I don't even no how to approach this situation! LOL

Panda and Ollie have been SO accommodating when packing...NOT. They have been in every box, gnawed on any possible item sitting out, and they are being quite rebellious when it comes to this move! Haha!

I can't wait until this move is done with!!!!!!!

Favourite Friday- Poem Edition

Hey everyone!
Today’s Favourite Friday is a bit different because I only have one favourite to share with you.

I wanted to share my favourite poem with you guys.
I’m sure that most of you have seen it before due to it’s popularity.
The Footprints in the Sand poem by Mary Stevenson has been my favourite poem for years, and it is such a special poem that I’ve always remembered.

Good News...

Good morning!
Today is a exciting, happy day!

I have really good news!

WE SOLD OUR HOUSE!!!!!

My hubby and I are so relieved and so happy that we can finally move on from this house!
We are soooooooo excited for everything to finally settle down now!
Although there is still quite a bit to be done, this has taken quite a load off!

The closing date for our house is at the end of May, so we have a month to pack up and enjoy the last days in our first home.
It will be sad to leave the memories with this house, but I know we will make many new memories where we end up.

Easter Weekend's Recipe

Hi everyone!
I hope that you all had an amazing Easter weekend!

It was such a beautiful Easter, I had a great weekend with family and it was so nice and relaxing to spend time with everyone.
I decided to bring a dessert to my family party, and it turned out to be quite a hit! I got the recipe off of my mom (it’s one of my favourite summer desserts), she’s been making the recipe for years!

What you will need:

1 Bag of Oreos
2 Large Pkgs. of Vanilla Instant Pudding Mix
3 1/2 cups Milk (preferably Homo)
1 Large Pkg. of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
1/4 cup margarine
1 Large container Cool Whip (lightly thawed)

Directions:

In Ziploc bag, crush full bag of Oreos.
In 1 bowl put 2 pkgs. of vanilla pudding and milk
Beat them together until thickened (approx. 3 min.)
In another bowl beat together cream cheese and margarine
Combine both bowls together.
Fold in cool whip.
Layer crushed cookies and then pudding (as many layers as you desire) starting and finishing with crushed cookies.
Refrigerate.
Preferably overnight.

You can decorate the top of this dessert anyway you want.
My mom usually puts a single daisy in it.

This is a great recipe to bring as a potluck dish because it is so easy and quick! You know how much I love quick and easy recipes!! Haha!

Enjoy! Let me know if you try this recipe! J

Favourite Friday- Paris Edition

Hey everyone!
Today is Favourite Friday again!
I was contemplating what category I should write about this time, and the answer literally appeared to me in a Pinterest picture. I saw a picture of a macaroon and it took me back to last year when I was in Paris. It is probably my favourite place that I have been, and I would LOVE to go back. Here are some of my favourite things in Paris!

Favourite Friday- Paris Edition

Palace of Versailles

I honestly can’t explain how amazing the Palace of Versailles was. I have always been interested in anything about Marie Antoinette so this was right up my alley. I became obsessed with the palace the minute we walked through. The gardens, the décor, the massive space…pretty much every aspect in the Palace of Versailles was indescribable. It is definitely a place that everyone should see at least once. It is absolutely immaculate.

Hall of Mirrors

Even though this is in the Palace of Versailles, I felt that it deserved it’s own area! This was such an amazing sight to see. It was absolutely beautiful and it takes you back to a time that you wish you could see. The elegance and pure art of the massive room is enough for anyone to be amazed.

Eiffel Tower at night
This image was taken from Pinterest.
The Eiffel tower is an obvious tourist attraction that is so beautiful and humongous, it’s understandable why it’s so famous. What I didn’t realise, was that at night for only a short time it actually lights up and sparkles! It was probably one of the main highlights of the trip. Such a pretty sight!! I brought home a miniature Eiffel tower that sparkles as well! Just a little something to remember it by! J

Laduree
Another absolute obsession in Paris was Laduree. The macaroons are to die for, and the store/restaurant is absolutely beautiful. Everything is so regal looking and the colours are beautiful. I fell in love with the place instantly and I made sure to take home a few souvenirs. J

I loved being in Paris. The atmosphere is amazing, and you feel like your in a different time wherever you go. The history and art throughout the city is worth seeing. I hope you enjoyed my favourite things in Paris, and I also hope that each and every one of you gets the chance to see Paris like I did!
