Banana Muffin Recipe :)

Hey everyone!!
I hope the start of the week is treating you well!

I started this rainy/stormy week off with a great recipe given to me by my mother-in-law (original recipe was from her mom).
I’ve heard about this famous banana bread recipe from my hubby pretty much since we started dating. It’s his favourite childhood recipe that his grandma and mom used to make and he was thrilled when I decided to make a large batch last minute for him. It was very stormy out and it was the perfect stay at home weather, so while I was keeping dry indoors, I wanted to be productive and make a large batch of these amazing muffins.

They turned out great and I have to admit, these are the BEST banana muffins that I have ever tasted!! Another amazing thing about this recipe was how easy it turned out to be! It didn’t take me very long at all- and the end result was perfect! J

What you will need:

2 Bananas
1 Egg
½ Tsp Baking Powder
1 Cup Flour
½ Cup Sugar
½ Tsp Baking Soda
¼ Tsp Salt
¼ Cup Melted Butter

Directions:

Mash bananas; add sugar and slightly beaten egg.  Add the melted butter.  Add the dry ingredients and mix well.  Place in Muffin tins (with cupcake papers if desired).  Bake at 375 for 20 minutes.  Makes 8 large or 12 smaller muffins.

FYI: I wanted to make a large batch of these so I could freeze some, so I tripled the recipe. J

YUM!

Enjoy!!- I also wanted to include a picture of the crazy storm that was occurring!

Thankfully the power didn't go out while I was baking these muffins!!

Favourite Friday- Brand Edition

Hey guys!!
I can't believe it's already the weekend AND Favourite Friday!
Woohoo!!

This week went so well! It was the perfect summer week. We did get a bit of rain but overall the weather was so nice! :)

I have recently become obsessed with the Kate Somerville Skincare Line. I love how it works great with my sensitive skin, and how each of the products that I’ve used have transformed my skin in so many ways. I find that my skin is now blemish free, hydrated, and glowy since I started to use this line. I purchased the line at Sephora.

Favourite Friday- Best Overall Brand Edition

Here are the products from Kate Somerville that I have and that I’ve fallen in love with:

Quench Hydrating Mask

I LOVE this mask!!! It is by far the most moisturizing mask I have ever used! You leave it on for 5-10 minutes and your face feels amazing afterwards.

Oil Free Moisturizer
This moisturizer is great for daily use. It isn't heavy, it absorbs quickly and my face feels hydrated all day.

Nourish Daily Moisturizer
I use this moisturizer every night before bed. It's a bit thicker than the oil free daily moisturizer, but it definitely is not heavy. Love it!

Gentle Daily Wash
This face wash is amazing! It is so gentle and it makes my skin feel like silk! It doesn't make me break out and it seems to brighten my skin.

I  hope you guys enjoyed this post, and I hope that you get to try this amazing line!

Good morning, happy monday!

Happy Monday!

I hope your weekend went well!
My best friend and I went to a local arts festival on Saturday morning and we had a great time. I love going to local events like that! I found a few neat items, and I purchased a lavender linen spray that I am LOVING right now!! Such a soothing scent!

I am starting my week off with a little bit of Coldplay playing in the background. Their new album just came out and I'm pretty much obsessed with the song "Magic".

Here's the youtube video of their song.
Enjoy!

Tuesday's Healthy Start

Hey guys!
I hope the start of the week is going well!

Now that the sale of our home is done, I am trying to make sure everything in the new place is super neat and tidy.
Everyday I make sure to throw a load of wash in (so it doesn’t pile up and get overwhelming) and I am also starting to vacuum once a day. I find that this helps immensely with the cat hair and my allergies! The new place is quite a bit smaller than our house that we sold, so keeping on top of these daily priorities is so much easier!

On the weekend, my mom and I went to a place that is known for their blueberries. We bought some frozen fruit for our protein shakes this week. I made a shake today that had frozen blueberries, frozen strawberries, kale, a banana, almond milk, and my favourite protein powder in it (I love the Body by Vi brand). I felt great starting the day off with such a healthy option! I am trying to eat healthy and green overall, which I find extremely hard because I am definitely not a fan of veggies! I like putting them in my shakes because then I don’t notice that I’m eating them.

If any of you guys have any suggestions on different healthy, green shakes- please let me know!! J

I found an interesting link on POPSUGAR that shows you how to make a great, healthy smoothie! The ingredients are similar to the one that I had this morning- and I must say, the extra items they included sound pretty good!

Enjoy!!
